Some works are born without a logical explanation, without a previous story or a clear reason. They simply happen. This painting is exactly that: an apparition.

Walking down the street, I saw a green McLaren. Green. My first reaction was almost an inward laugh:

“What was the person who chose an apple-green McLaren thinking?”

The colour was so unexpected, so bold, so… unapologetically unique that it stood before me like a shining fruit fallen from the sky. But within seconds, that bewilderment turned into love at first sight. I went from doubt to absolute fascination. I felt that impulse I always tell you guides my work: the moment when reality and dreams mingle. That night I did not sleep; I dreamed awake. I saw the whole painting, vibrant, extravagantly green. And I knew I had to make it, even if I might be the only person who liked it. Just like the person who one day decided they wanted a green McLaren, I too created this piece purely for pleasure, on a whim, to nourish my own freedom.

That is what this painting is: a tribute to the audacity of choosing what you like, even if nobody else understands. A completely, proudly, irreverently green work.
