FRAGMENTS OF HER

THE ARTIST’S VOICE

About the artwork

Her fragments are those invisible layers that envelop and hide her, while she hints at her presence behind the painting with a sensual yet relaxed gaze. They are her secrets, those masks we wear to fit into a society that wants to appear so perfect, yet beneath those single-coloured sheets, without wrinkles or mistakes, contains us: imperfect, intense, real. Behind it all, she is still there, with a unique gaze and lips full of stories she keeps in silence. We hide beneath what we want to appear to be, but this gaze reminds you to bring out the woman you have concealed, the one afraid of being a nuisance, the one who thinks she is “too much”. Because that woman is beautiful and brave, and this painting is her small act of rebellion.
