About the artwork

I am a painter who always tries to portray beauty, the immaculate, the excellent; the nature of women’s gazes, the sensuality that sculpts and sustains us. But not her. She is a rebellious woman, so full of character that she allows herself to be exactly who she is, without filters or apologies. Her gaze is charged with anger and fury, yet at the same time tries to make you fall in love, as if saying: “Look closely; there is beauty here too.” This painting is where I, as an artist, pour out all my rage towards the world around me, towards my failures, heartbreaks and broken nights; and yet, thanks to all of it, I am part of this beautiful story I am creating. She is the beauty of the devil: the one who lets me, from time to time, savour sadness, rage and anger, then curl up in those fine lips and fall in love again with myself, my path and my art.
